New York City

Spring Break - 2016

A great time with Allie and Skye

Freedom Tower from West Side Highway

One of two memorial waterfall pools where the twin towers once stood.

Transportation Hub designed by Architect Santiago Calatrava, who described it to us at Columbia University about 14 years ago.

Where George Washington was inaugurated on Wall Street

Three stock market Bulls

Street performers

Entrance to the Freedom Tower

Hurt my beck looking up.

Sweet suite.

Plenty of Linen

From our 44th floor window.

A treat to stay in this hotel again after I did in 1972, when I attended an engineering conference as president of my engineering student chapter.

I met Willie Mays in the parking lot and he autographed a program for me, that Lucas now has.

Central Park South, with Skye in pink.

Peace.

Hard Rock Cafe.

On the town!

Empire State Building - lit up for Primary night.

Across the street from our hotel, Hillary gives a victory speech at the Sheraton, with a long line outside.

While around the corner, The Donald gives his victory speech too.

Here is his campaign rally song by Jacob Seales

From our room, we saw The East West Tower, which I worked on inspecting concrete rebar in 1984. Next door is the tan and white Sheraton.

That job had Orlo fall on his back from a scaffold, onto a Sheraton roof level on the 52nd St side.

I testified in court two years later, and produced an un-nailed wood wedge showing that the scaffold was improperly built.

Orlo won a fair disability payment as a result.

Daisy, Daisy, ... Ah cain't afford a carriage     -- so we hired one!!

Hansom Cab, not Yellow Cab!

Our driver Marty was terrific.

The West side from our row boat

Atop Kevin and Marjorie's rooftop

We did enjoy the City and Central Park.

So happy to be the lucky grandparents of two wonderful grandchildren we love.
