Best E-mails of the Week Dec 31, 2005

If the Three Wise Men had been the Three Wise Women:

They would have asked for directions and gotten there on time !

They would have helped with the delivery!

They would have cleaned up the stable and gotten the baby inside a house,

and they would have brought useful gifts!

Among the Best Photos of 2005 is this:

These were pretty good too:

The weather sure has been strange in the country this year.

On the radio they quickly told us that tomorrow afternoon there will be snow:

"One to Three from Four to Six"

Did they mean 1:00 pm until 3:00pm there will be  4 - 6 inches?

or 1 - 3 inches from 4:00pm until 6pm?

Bill reminded me of the Saturday Night Live Skit where the workers at

a Nuclear power plant were left alone while their boss left town.

When the danger gage went to the red zone, they struggled with his advice:

You can't add too much water to the system!

Like the reference letter from the former employer:

"No salary is too high for him."

An old timer in town also warned us about winter solstice December 21:

"Remember, -as the days lengthen, the winter strengthens."

Brian proposed and Joanne accepted on Christmas Eve Eve!  We are all thrilled.  Joanne will finish college in April with an elementary education degree.  She will be qualified to teach K-6th grade.  She starts her interning in a 2nd grade class in mid-January, and she is very excited about that.

The radio has had several commercials recommending that we check out this site.

It is quite interesting.

The difference between involvement and commitment is like eggs and bacon.

The chicken is involved, but the pig is committed.

To all,

We had a great time last night; invited a dozen good friends for a small NYE party.

I tried lots of new recipes and everyone seemed to enjoy them all.

Friends enjoyed meeting and talking with Jerry and he looked like he had a good time....

Happy New Year!!!!
