In the aftermath of the Sandy Hook tragedy, from the front page of the state paper.
I drove down Friday to Danbury Hospital to visit Mom who stayed overnight, but she was released at noon.
I saw a state
police helicopter above me when I drove through Sandy Hook on I-84 at about
11:30 am.
Then the hospital would not let me park because they were in lock down.
Nephew Chris filled me in on the tragedy when I visited his Tattoo shop near the hospital.
We were sorry to learn among the many senseless deaths, that a 52 year old teacher died.
Her brother was in high school with Jim, Lou and me.
She graduated from our high school right after Tom and Joanne.
We considered canceling our Christmas Carol matinee performance,
because the principal at Sandy Hook was a close friend of our keyboard player.
Instead, Tiny Tim (shown below on his Dad's shoulder)
led us in a Moment of Silence before the show, and we ended with our entire cast of 16 singing Silent Night.
Thanks to Ann and Roger for being part of that with Mary and me.
Young Peter Cratchit, Ebenezer Scrooge and Tiny Tim with Bob Cratchit
as we entered the stage area.
Here was Ann and Roger's electronic card to complement their paper card.
More video, changed to San Fran but interesting.
Some good news on TV:
A laugh for your day...
Be sure to turn on your sound and listen carefully to the bartender.
