Thanks for helping me on site this weekend Greg.

And thanks for standing at the center of the proposed cul-de-sac circle to show where we hope it will be built.

Greg loves the outdoors, but loves his job as a specialty mechanic.

Since his Bachelor of Science degree, he has passed 5 three hour certification tests.

If he passes the last three tests this spring, he becomes a master mechanic.

Good way to spend your evenings, brushing up on those manuals Greg !

TO  ALL:

An article about Dogs appeared in the Sunday edition (Outdoors Section) of the  "Wichita Eagle"  newspaper (Nov 19, 06).  It relates to our (Dogs) undying loyalty to their masters.  A few famous people were quoted:

WILL  ROGERS,  "If there are no dogs in Heaven, then when I die I want to go where they went"....

MARK  TWAIN,  "Heaven goes by favor.  If it went by merit, you would stay out and your dog would go in".

ROGER  CARAS,  "Dogs have given us their absolute all.  We are the center of their universe.  We are the focus of their love and faith and trust.  They serve us in return for scraps.  It is without a doubt the best deal man has ever made".

GENE  HILL,  "Nobody can fully understand the meaning of love unless he's owned a dog.  A dog can show you more honest affection with the flick of a tail than a man can gather through a lifetime of handshakes".

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Your dog, however small, will stand between you and a perceived threat, adding to the meaning, "Only over my dead body will you harm my master".....

RAY:  We have come full circle because at the beginning of mankind wild dogs would kill us and eat us to survive.  Now we feed domestic dogs and they literally will kill to save us from personal threat.  My  my!!

There are numerous stories about the Wild West where a Cowboy was crossing the plains during the winter months with his horse and dog and the cowboy died for one reason or another on the frozen plains.   The horse probably left but the dog was found dead on his masters frozen body.  He wouldn't leave his master.

Happy  Thanksgiving to all...

Ray

Hi Peter John

Hope you and Mary had a great Thanksgiving.......

Mom, Kaarin & Todd, Fred & I, and a bunch more

went over to Jen and Bob's - they had a 34 lb. turkey!

Thought you'd like to see it.

Pam

I sure did want to see that turkey, and so will everyone else.

Thanks Pam.    Happy Thanksgiving!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving Day at Lou and Mary's.

Here is Joanne at the table for 20+ that Lou and Dan made.

Mary prepared a huge, delicious turkey for us.

As my Mary later said while we were driving home: "Boy they know how to entertain!"

Here's the table from my view, as we all start a game of LCR that Nicholas won.

The three nephews.

We also watched the Cowboys football victory, and heard Tommy on video Guitar Hero.

With all the hubub about the Dallas Cowboys now having the best quarterback in the NFL,

don't forget my prediction on August 27 in Best emails repeated here:

"PS  And by the way, even though we have the world series on our minds,

let's not forget the NFL.

Dad reminded us last night that Chris Palmer, who we grew up with,

is now Drew Bledsoe's personal QB coach again.

Anyway, Jake, your 'boys are goin to win it all this season."

It's Tony Romo, not Drew Bledsoe, but the the brain behind him is the same.: Chris Palmer's!

Chris Palmer
POSITION: Quarterbacks
COLLEGE: Southern Connecticut State
NFL EXP: 17th Year
COWBOYS EXP: 1st Year

http://lb.dallascowboys.com/team_coach_bios.cfm?newName=Chris_Palmer

A 17-year NFL coaching veteran, Chris Palmer begins his first season in Dallas where he is reunited with head coach Bill Parcells and quarterback Drew Bledsoe. Palmer was an assistant coach at New England for Parcells's four-year run with the Patriots. In their final season in New England (1996), Palmer coached the quarterbacks and helped Bledsoe guide New England to the AFC title and a berth in Super Bowl XXXI.

.....

Prior to his stint with the Texans, Palmer spent two seasons as head coach of the expansion Cleveland Browns, leading Cleveland to a 2-14 mark in its inaugural season and an injury-ravaged club to a 3-13 record in 2000.

.......

Palmer played quarterback for Southern Connecticut State from 1968-71 and was selected to the New Haven Gridiron Club following his senior season. He earned both his bachelor's and master's degrees at SCSU, where he was recently inducted into the school's athletic hall of fame. He is also a member of the hall of fame at the University of New Haven and Immaculate High School.

A native of ......., Palmer (9/23/49) and his wife, Donna, have two children, Mark and Kristin, and one granddaughter, Annette Grace.
