Hi,
A military satellite was launched from Vandenberg Air Force Base in
California last evening (Thursday). I got some photos and thought I would
share them with you. These were taken at my home on Palomar Mountain,
about 200 miles from the launch site.

Emma and Morgan at 6 months
We had a wonderful time in Richmond Virginia this past weekend.
We attended the 250th birthday celebration of Chief Justice John Marshall.
This is his house, now a museum.
Inside were the colonial dancers of Richmond.
They showed us several traditional dances, and invited us to participate too!
Here they pose for a photo in the garden tent.
That evening, Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy received the John Marshall Medal.
He spoke at the podium which was too dark for my flash.
Stuart and Helena and Mary and me.
No tuxedos, but period costume for us guys !
In the morning, we had breakfast at the Jefferson Hotel, also a little dark for my flash.
A descendent of John Marshall was the reverend who conducted the Episcopalian service Sunday morning.
The St. James Church has a lovely inscription over the altar.
And then back home to 2005!
