Truman Capote liked to tell the story about the fellow who went to dinner at the apartment of a friend who lived on the 17th floor of his building in Manhattan.  While his hostess attended to some last minute details in the kitchen, he played with her German Shepherd.  He threw a rubber bone several times, and the dog went to fetch it.  Then, throwing harder than he intended, he threw the bone out the terrace door and over the railing. Incredibly, the dog followed it out the terrace and bounded over the railing to the street 17 floors below.  Horrified, the young man began to try to figure out what to say.  When they finally sat down to dinner, he looked at the hostess and said, "Perhaps it's just my imagination, but didn't your dog seem rather depressed tonight....."

The study game. Did you come to play?

http://poweredby.questia.com/W8RH03ADEF9FEE373E83333E3FC150Studying isn't just taking classroom notes and reading assigned materials. Study prep begins long before class is in session. HowToStudy.org quotes James Shepherd who says, "Studying is the process of deciding what to learn and what to remember and recall." This process begins by organizing your supplies and your study environment, setting goals, understanding your own study habits and making adjustments as necessary. .... Positively Coffee notes that "Coffee helps to improve alertness, attention and wakefulness, and by that means it facilitates relevant learning."

Here's a view from land Mary and I are working on now.

That vegetation at the end of the field is the thickest, nastiest, thorniest jungle I've had to wallow in.

Which course in engineering college prepared me to crawl 30' at a time under thorns to be able to pop up and use my machete again?

None.  But you do what ya gotta do.

PS this view is not sellable because its under power lines I must stay away from.

Nevertheless, its shaping up to a fine subdivision for us.

I'm working on showing you Tiger Woods' house pictures.

Bob sent them to me as a pdf.

I'm searching for an inexpensive program that converts .pdf's to .jpg's

Hope to upload it later today.

---Pete, you might want to check this article out first - this sounds like a lavish beach house in Hawaii.
