New York Post Editorial Intro:

September 11, 2005 -- Four years ago today, on a bright summer morning, New Yorkers prepared to cast their Primary Day ballots when two hijacked airliners hurtled into the World Trade Center, bringing down the fabled Twin Towers and taking 2,752 innocent lives.

Another plane, also commandeered by Islamic fundamentalists, struck the Pentagon in Washington, D.C. A fourth plane — destined for either the White House or the U.S. Capitol — crashed into a Pennsylvania field after a courageous revolt by its doomed passengers.

It was the day that changed everything.

Look for the New New Orleans to be developed wisely.

There will be many  low area preserved wetlands.

The dredged soil material to make those wetlands will be used to fill in

and raise up the commercial and residential districts.

If another storm hits New Orleans, those wetlands areas will serve as

low lying stormwater detention basins.

And the additional vegetation there will function as wildlife habitat.

(See if it happens in 2 years.)

Meanwhile, on the other side of the world,

TAL AFAR, Iraq (AP) -- Insurgents melted into the countryside around Tal Afar,

the militant stronghold near the Syrian border, and guns fell silent Sunday --

the second day of an offensive by 5,000 Iraqi soldiers backed by 3,500 American troops and armor.

Well, the hummingbirds are here in full force.

They are so neat to watch.

I caught some at my hummingbird feeder this morning.

Thought I'd share the pics with you.

The air has been a little cool in the morning - feels like heaven.

Fall is my favorite time of year...Sue
