Tom and Sam's Wedding

What a fabulous Wedding!

from my perspective as Uncle Pete.

Thanks to Joanne and Heather for supplying pictures from Facebook. My pictures are 948 pixels wide.

Yes, it was Heather's grandmother, Auntie Annie, who last had a family wedding on these grounds 66 years ago.

In chronological order, sort of.

Friday night, Waiters prepare our dinner table for the Groom's Outdoor Partial Guest Rehearsal Dinner.

Does this picture make Elyse's hair look sort of blue-ish??  Lotta fun chatting with Bob, Elyse and Jimmy. Sangria and reservoir backdrops go well together.

Guests arrive.

Most of us by bus from the hotel.

Tent between Mom and Lou & Mary's and Joanne's houses.

Mary and Mom.

Luminaires for the driveway.  Big tree stump remains.

Ceremony will take place under this tree behind us in a few minutes. Nancy, Jim, Kate and Bob.

On Joanne's property, here. Ceremony on Lou and Mary's.

Tommy made the menu near Aunt Marion.

Live acoustical guitar music.

Lou and Mary lead the way.

Chris, Lucas and Sherry.

Bride Samantha and her Dad.

The Ceremony

Sam's Uncle reads a passage.

Mary's brother David reads.

It's Official!

Greg Jenn and Allie look on.

I wish I took this picture!

5 minutes a legal couple!

Tom and Lou.

Dan, Chris and other Groomsmen.

Mary and her Dad George

The two Sister In Laws, whom Best Man Danny will praise highly in his toast later.

Kate with her Mom and Grandma.

Sam's good friends and Maids of Honor

Elyse, Mom Ann and Godmother Mary.  (Our Godson Jimmy in shades, is to the right.)

Pam, Fred and Dan.

Uncle Justin, with Aunt Lorraine and Aunt Marion, behind Pam.

Wedding Picture time.

Auntie Annie remembered getting married at St. Lawrence Church (where Mary and I were wed 31 years ago).

She and first husband Uncle Bob returned for the June reception here at the house where she Auntie Rose, Uncle Justin and Dad grew up.

She told me they had music with a record player out near where the garage is now.

With her is Ed, son Johnny with Ginny, Heather Jen, Michael and his girl friend. Mom is seated near her sister in law.

Auntie Annie's Godson Lou, feeling justifiably proud.

Sam and Tom letters by Sherry. Tom, Janine, Carl Mary and Ann.

Mom's garage door I recently repainted and the tarred driveway, looking good.

DJ is set under the tent.

Tom and Sam at the head table.

First dance as husband and wife.

Everybody loved the dancing!

Dan's Best Man toast honored his family, his sisters-in-law and he reminded us fortunate few, who played on these grounds as children.

But Jim, Lou, Tom, Joanne and I did not wrestle alligators out back in the swampy woods!

Cousins' table.

Tom and Ann, seated near me. Tom beat me by five strokes in golf earlier in the day.

The weather was so perfectly cool and the air conditioning units caused condensation under the giant tent, and I felt a droplet or two as did many of us.

A super moon and indoor rain!

Tom conducted himself with class from start to finish, with treated breakfast for us all the next morning.

Heather took these great shots after I left for the hotel.

What are pools for?!

The tent from the bus as we left.

The Caterers had everything cleaned out by the next morning.

As I mentioned to Sam, folks will be talking about this wedding for a long long time.

I was so honored to enjoy it.

Happy future life as a married couple Tom and Sam.

Pete
