July 29, 2012

I thought I was a sharp kid for walking before one year, but Lucas has me beat by a month, and is > me in the cool baby looking department.

Lucas' uncles and their friends enjoy the Caribbean life.

I tested the thermal conductivity of the Minnesota rock in this 300' deep geothermal borehole.

Here are some nearby natural solar panels, rotating to face the sun all day long.

Mary's uncle and godfather George gave me a tour of the farm he used to help operate.

George, his wife Fran and Larry joined Mary's Dad Wilfred and me for lunch.

Wilfred's old dump truck and green tractor are preserved at Liz and Dan's, where Tory and Ryan gave me a tour of the garden and grounds.

Thanks Dan and Liz for the boat ride on Eagle Lake and for the delicious steak and garden vegetable dinner at your home.

Congrats Alyssa on the great photos you took for your website.

Thank you Jake for dinner, breakfast and hosting me overnight at your Saint Paul apartment.

I was so pleased I could combine some work with a visit to Mary's Minnesota family.

Pete
