Thanks Jerry for this nice picture you took in Michigan.

My work this week involved "Indian Rock", where Sam shows us where Native Americans may have resided.

Sam's family bought this land from Chief Waramaug's agent in the 1740's.

So half a mile away is the field where I have a geothermal loop flagged out to install next week.

The state requires an archaeological study first.

We dug about 50 test pits like this, in 2 days.

Measuring the "Strats", - all in centimeters.

The soil is placed on the screen and shaken as seen in this video:

Here, a bone fragment was discovered.

This was one of the bigger "Flakes" of Quartz used by ancient Native Americans to make tools, etc. No arrowheads were found, only flakes.

Each flake is stored in plastic bags for possible further study.

We await results so that we can receive approval to dig and backfill here next week.

Basem ball

I NEVER SAW A PITCHER THAT COULD DO THIS.....

If you do not care for baseball, forward this on to someone who does as this is a most unique baseball situation.

Can you say, "Delay of game"?
