Subject: Russian SU-30

The U.S. has nothing comparable! Russian SU-30- Vectored Thrust with
Canards. As you watch this airplane, look at the canards moving along side
of, And just below the canopy rail. This is a video of an in-flight
Demonstration flown by the RussianSU-30MK fighter aircraft. You'll not
believe what you are about to see.

The fighter can stall from high speed, stopping in less than a second.
Then it demonstrates an ability to descend tail first without causing a
compressor stall. It can also recover from a flat spin in less than a
minute. These capabilities don't exist in any other aircraft in the
world today.

Take a look at the video with the sound up. This aircraft is of concern
To U.S. and NATO planners. We don't know which nations will soon be flying
The SU-30MK, hopefully China isn't one of them.

Video if you have time to watch

Robot Air Attack Squadron Bound for Iraq

BALAD AIR BASE, Iraq (AP) - The airplane is the size of a jet fighter, powered by a turboprop engine, able to fly at 300 mph and reach 50,000 feet. It's outfitted with infrared, laser and radar targeting, and with a ton and a half of guided bombs and missiles.

The Reaper is loaded, but there's no one on board. Its pilot, as it bombs targets in Iraq, will sit at a video console 7,000 miles away in Nevada.

The arrival of these outsized U.S. "hunter-killer" drones, in aviation history's first robot attack squadron, will be a watershed moment even in an Iraq that has seen too many innovative ways to hunt and kill.

You have to love the sense of humor of the American GI!

Pete & Mary:

1.  I was in Denmark on 3 July 07 for my annual leaves.  On 4 July 07, I
took a bus and went to see Sweden.  I stayed in Denmark until 10 Jul 07 and
flew through Zurich, Switzerland, and returned to Frankfurt, Germany.

2.  I planned this trip after I heard my twin-brother got a liver cancer.
Since we are twin, I am supposed to have it also.  But I am scared to check
it up, thus I just went to some places I want to go before going to the
heaven for good.  I plan to go to Barcelona, Spain, and then Athens, Greece,
next.

3.  When I saw the little Mermaid of Denmark, I was so emotional and could
not stop crying.  (I went to see her three times when I was there.)  The
young men and women in Denmark and Sweden are all beautiful people.  All of
their young children have blond hairs.  (The color of their hair could
become darker when they grow older.)

4.  Life is a banquet.  We should enjoy seeing the world and meet the
people.  Cancer is hard to get cured.  Why should I have to know it and make
me unhappy even I had it?  (My elder brother died of liver cancer when he
was only 49.)

5.  How is going there in Connecticut?  Everybody in Europe right now hates the US because
of the stupid war in Iraq which not only has killed thousand of young
American G.I., but also killed over 600,000 Iraqi people.  The war does not
accomplish anything.  The war has destroyed Iraqi country.  When I was in
Amsterdam, I said to a South American guy that I am a US citizen, he became
so upset because I am a US citizen.  Every land has their way of life for
thousands of years, why should we change it and made it look like ours?

6.  Did your children visit Poland recently?

Sunny,
I was sad to learn that Tom has liver cancer. Please give him my and Mary's best wishes.  He should know that cancer is much more treatable these days than it was years ago.  He will probably lead a normal healthy life thanks to modern medicine.

I'm glad you liked your tour of Northern Europe.  It is true that many people hate us in the US.  We must be the policemen for the suicidal maniacs in Iraq whose hearts are filled with hate.  When we step in to defend the average Iraqis, we are accused of being brutal, like a policeman resisting a murderer.  3000 of our brave freedom fighters gave their lives so that people on the other side of the world can have better lives some day.  For this they are criticized by Europeans who wish the fanatics would stop on their own. These Europeans confuse evil religious zealots who hate women and their families with our soldiers who try to stop them.  I for one am proud of my fellow country men including Raf's future brother-in-law being deployed as a weapons specialist to Iraq this month.  And I am proud of you for the military support you give our younger fighting men who give their lives for a just cause.
Let the Europeans sit at their cafes and spew hate at us Americans in the name of their believed religions.  We really don't care what they think, if they will not enforce justice.  It's funny how they forget so quickly that without the US, including my father, that their lives would be controlled by the Nazis now.  Instead of gratitude from the kin of the war generation, we get jealous, immature, ignorant spite.

Americans will continue to lead the world in social justice, luxury of living and dedication to good causes. We will not be turned because Europeans side with the killers in Iraq and Iran against us.  Maybe Bush's ratings are down, because Americans think we have sacrificed too much for an unappreciative world.  But unconditional love requires sacrifice and giving, even if the recipient and onlookers cannot appreciate what is done for them.

As this summer roles on, I wish it to be a happy time for you Sunny.  You are part of an important mission to lead the world in doing what is right, as will be seen when future historians acknowledge the results of contemporary American policy against terror.

And from another traveler but on vacation,

Hi  everyone
i  found  this  today ,,,from  Allison

jim
Hello dad,

We are currently in Florence.  We took a train from Rome that took an hour and thirty minutes to get here.  We had a great time in Rome.  We went to mass at St. Peters and we heard the pope speak.  It was very cool.  (tons of people there).  We went to the Vatican Museum and saw the Sistine Chapel.  Also very cool.  Not as big as I thought it would be though.  We waited in line 2 and a half  hours just to get in.  We will be in Florence until Wednesday.  We leave Wednesday in the afternoon to go to Amsterdam.  I will call you when we get to Amsterdam.  Say hi to everyone.  I hope everything is going well at home.

Love,
Allison

Pete,

Landon went to Zoo Camp this week and had a blast.  The children got to feed the animals and assist in caring for the animals.  He learned a lot and made some new friends.  A really great experience for him.

Here is a picture of him holding a huge snake.   This kid is  'all boy!'
