Best Emails of the Week

July 9, 2006

Cousin Frank and Jane told us about Kristen's term in China.  Here she is.

Pam gave Joanne a CD with these old photos scanned.

They were taken by Auntie Rose throughout the years.

I'll try captions.

Grandma tills the soil behind the chicken pen.

Lou, me and Jim. I never saw this shot before.

Thanks Pam and Auntie Rose!

Among my very fondest childhood memories is playing trucks with older cousins Bobby and Pete.

They would bring their trucks and dozers to our house.

Dad's sand pile for building the house became our play box.

Jim, John, Pete, me, Bob, Lou.

Here's grandma at the hot bed.

I helped her many times to move the glass on and off.

The 7 of us on our front lawn. My first communion.

Mulberry trees and courant bushes in background.

Grandma and Grandpa's and Auntie Rose's and Pam's front lawn.

Woods across the street were pasture fields back then.

Grandpa and his pickup. Chicken coup in back.

Apple trees, their car, garden with statue of Mary just out of the picture.

The 4th of July tent from last week is placed to the right of this scene.

Our old Desoto and Dad's dump truck that he used to help build the Taconic State Parkway.

The grass field in front of the truck becomes our baseball field a few years later.

When trees were cut, a tire was placed over the stump for flowers.

Grandpa

Table and chairs moved to the back.

Dad is probably drinking our homemade zinfandel wine with his dad.

Grandma in front of her grapevines, not for wine, but for eating.

Lou stands in front of his future home with Jim, Joanne and those fragrant Peonies.

James Sr. would later bestow his '58 Ford to his namesake Jimmy

to tool around High School in.

Joanne with barn behind Desoto.

Thanks for sharing these with us Auntie Rose and Pam!

Pete
