Kristen attended our history exhibit opening in NYC this week.

She is shown with a drawing prepared by Charles Doyle, who was in an insane asylum in England in the mid 1800's.

He drew this to show he was sane and wanted to be released, but they would not set him free.

It eventually was inherited to his son Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, and eventually to a private collector who now has it on display.

So Sherlock Holmes' creator's father seemed to be on the brink of genius and insanity.

Here is the library to the left of Kristen.

Here are my friends interested in Brian's (tie, center) Aaron Burr collection on display.

Closer to home, we had the ground breaking ceremony for our local history museum.

I can see this new curatorial center under construction now from my computer desk.

I'm the newest member of the Board of Trustees, again shown on the right.

We also had the ceremony honoring the new Harriet Beecher Stowe stamp. Harriet was born up the street in our Town.

Meet Maverick, our new "pound pal".  We got him on Saturday and have fallen in love with this sweet guy!  He is 1 1/2 year old neutered male who is a Beagle/Pointer Mix.  He is smart, well-behaved and sweet as can be.  Annie is adjusting to her new brother!
Love,
