By Tuesday with oil at $130 a barrel, we were enjoying the heat from below our lawn provided through this heat pump installed by Carl.

The geopipe before it went down under.

The lawn got dug up, but it will grow back soon. 80% of the sod is intact in the quarter acre disturbed.

We went as deep as 7' into the groundwater.  Who knew a high water table could be good?
It conducts thermal transfer better than air within dry sand! We covered pipe with clayey topsoil free of rocks.

(If you'd like to see the technical website with the detail, and you are a friend or family, email me for the link.)

Thanks John for placing my picture on the front page of the City newspaper to promote this "Green Technology"

We had friends over for pizza that night, and Deacon John in blue said a blessing for the Geothermal system.

Thanks Steve for sending me this picture of the ship you are on, as it crosses the Panama Canal.

What a great weekend watching the ECAC rowing Sprint Championships in Worcester, Mass.

We cheered for Cornell's Big Red because Jim' and Alice's son James rowed in the Lightweight Division. He's third man just above the Yale #2.

James receives his medal. He is third and just behind the man in white shirt. Navy team to the left.

Bob, who rowed for Cornell 35 years ago, Alice, Caren and Jim.

We congratulate James who is wearing his medal, as he awaits final results.

Later Cornell and Yale celebrated winning the overall championship!

Here is Big Red (Best Men Afloat)

James has his sun glasses on his hair, and is three feet left of the trophy.

All that work since August paid off for them! What an achievement, and what a joy to watch!

Pete
