Attached are pictures of Ryan and Nick with their prom dates.  Ryan went to Willmar's prom with Katie, a friend who is a senior in high school.  Ryan had the pleasure of driving a 2005 Mercedes Kompressor (spelling?). As you can tell by her pose it was very cold for April 29th...47 degees with a cool wind!!

Nick went to CMCS's prom with a friend, Kayla, who is also a senior in high school.  They had a beautiful 74 degee day on May 6th!  Nick took Ryan's pickup to prom, and as you car/truck buffs may be able to tell, he recently lifted it.  Nick got some razzing from the announcer when he saw the height of the truck asking him how his date was going to get out.  Nick just grinned and pulled out a ladder from the truck box...it brought a chuckle from the audience!

Did you see the pictures of the NYC West Side Henry Hudson Parkway highway landslide?

Here is a landslide story:

....Then the same shriek burst simultaneously from all their lips.

"The Slide! The Slide!"

The simplest words must intimate, but not portray, the unutterable horror of the catastrophe. The victims rushed from their cottage, and sought refuge in what they deemed a safer spot--where, in contemplation of such an emergency, a sort of barrier had been reared. Alas! they had quitted their security, and fled right into the pathway of destruction. Down came the whole side of the mountain, in a cataract of ruin. Just before it reached the house, the stream broke into two branches--shivered not a window there, but overwhelmed the whole vicinity, blocked up the road, and annihilated everything in its dreadful course. Long ere the thunder of the great Slide had ceased to roar among the mountains, the mortal agony had been endured, and the victims were at peace. Their bodies were never found.....
