People have commented how great Rick's bike looks, and are amazed he built it himself.

So I decided to use my limited skills to build one too.

Of course my training is in carpentry soooo...

We visited Dad today and he looks good.

His color is good and physically doing well, except for a bit thin.

He said he weighs 176 lbs.  He got out of bed and walked around.

We had the wheelchair close and after a few minutes he was ready to sit down.

We went into the sun room and he wanted to go out for strawberry shortcake and a hamburger.

I questioned the nurse and she said it is perfectly fine to take him out and that it would be good for him.

She said he can have a sweet once in a while as I mentioned what he asked for.

She said she didn't blame him for wanting "non-institutional food"!

He said he is not participating in the physical therapy for which I explained to him he should be doing.

He really enjoyed going to the restaurant and was like a kid with a new toy eating "real food"!

His stomach has shrunk as he doesn't eat a large amount at one sitting.

We ordered him a childrens hamburger and fries and it was a good size burger.

He ate all of the hamburger and some fries so we took him a piece of strawberry pie to go.

Jerry and Rich, you may want to pay attention to what he orders if you take him out of the VA.

You need to check him out at the nurses station.....

The pure solution to last week's 711 problem is:

A buck 20,

One and a quarter,

Buck and a half,

Leaving $3.16.

POSEIDON Movie Review from the NY Post:

WHEN the ship they're on is capsized and corpses are strewn everywhere,

one passenger turns to another and inquires, "How bad is it?" "Very bad," is the reply.

That exchange should be on the posters for the movie,

because audiences at "Poseidon" are facing only a slightly better time than passengers on "Poseidon."

Hi Herb,

Thank you. It was truly an outstanding performance!

I have heard many positive comments and I myself enjoyed it thoroughly.

I do hope you will all do something again soon.

I love being able to offer theater to the community.

Thank you again for the photographs.

Best regards,

Ann Marie

These photos Laurel took Wednesday are of Herb, who played Sir  (King Lear) in The Dresser,

Shelly was Norman,  Susan was Madge, and I was the stage hand / announcer.

All those rehearsals for this opportunity to bow!
