Yesterday I worked 11 hours at Americare Homefront as we removed old cabinets and installed a new kitchen for a single Mom who suffers from cancer, and for her young son.

Our church deacon told a great joke:

A husband and wife were chatting, and she said something weird.

He challenged her that it was wrong.

He asked her, "How can you be so beautiful looking and yet so dumb?"

She said "God made me beautiful so you would be attracted to me.

And God made me dumb so I would be attracted to you!"

Everyone's going to enjoy this slide show -

Awesome beauty throughout Germany..

Sherry,
Thanks so much for the birthday cd's!
I listened to the first one with Mary in the car today.
The opening French horns with Roger Whittaker is so great!
It reminds me of Connecticut maritime life and history.
And all day long I have been humming "Ferry across the Mersey".
I love the Sinatra and Cole Porter songs too.

Thanks for all the time you spent doing this for me Sherry.
It is so enjoyable to listen to music that was given me as a present!

Happy Spring, and best wishes to everyone there,
Pete

I've been telling people about the geothermal heating and cooling system we are installing in our yard.

The orange flags show where we will bury the pipe filled with biodegradable antifreeze and water.

We will draw the 50 degree heat out in the winter and the 50 degree coolness out in the summer.

Carl will install a great heat pump, that will heat the 2000 square feet of our first floor instead of burning oil.

The  2 1/2 ton air conditioner will also cool the first floor, for minimal pumping costs..

If heat keeps rising, :) maybe Mary and I will move the bedroom to the first floor for the free climate control !

Wish us luck in the next few weeks as we install this "Green" system.
