Bishops and priests assemble.

The Pope mobile enters the stadium.

Making his way to the altar.

He arrives.

The pope was greeted by Governor David Patterson and Mayor Michael Bloomberg.

The big screens show us a close up.

He walks to the altar with his crucifix.

Cardinal Egan welcomes the Pope. 

We once chatted with him at a Waldorf Astoria luncheon. (See Bestemails a few Christmas' ago!)
He used to be our Bishop of the Diocese of Bridgeport.
