All,
I was able to get out and kayak on a local river with a friend from work
yesterday. If you didn't know, it is Blue Bonnet flower festival time in
Texas. There are many wild flowers that bloom each year, but this year is
exceptional. This is partially due to an extremely hot and dry summer last
year and a wet fall and spring. As we drove through the countryside, there was
a color explosion in almost every field. Here are a few pictures. Some fields
were so bright that I almost needed sunglasses.

And other Signs of Spring from online around the world.
Here in
Connecticut there are yellow flowers everywhere you look: forsythia,
dandelions, daffodils, and occasional yellow tulips. My files are full of iris,
chrysanthemums sunflowers, anemones, rudbekia, calla lilies, and an unidentified
futurist fantasy. What more can I say? Virginia
