Boston, Massachusetts, April 5, 2004 – The results of the Sixth Annual ICIC-Inc Magazine Inner City 100 have been announced, and New Rochelle is home to one of the fastest growing inner-city companies in America. (See attached)

The list, a ranking of 100 of the fastest-growing businesses in inner city areas around the country, reveals that virtually all of these companies are profitable and planning to expand their workforces. The 2004 Inner City 100 showed an astounding average annual growth rate of 872 percent for the five-year period 1998-2002, up from last year’s rate of 647 percent. This impressive list received over 7,000 nominations. These companies have created almost 11,600 new jobs in the past five years.

With the philosophy "We believe in doing it right the first time," Base One is dedicated to keeping their schedule and budget in alignment with their customer's needs. CEO Liza Z.  originally had experience in the IT field by working with a team to develop the first computerized global communications relay in Europe.  In 1994, seizing what she saw to be an opportunity to compete for similarly large and industry-changing contracts, Z.  founded Base One Technologies. Base One is an IT services and support provider primarily serving Fortune 500 companies in the telecommunications and financial sectors.

After working for major companies on Wall Street and in Europe, Z.   chose specifically to have her Corporate Headquarters based in the Inner City as she felt it was necessary to "give back" to the community having grown up in the Bronx.  Said Z., "When I was forming my Company, I had a strong desire to plant myself in a diverse atmosphere where my work environment would reflect my upbringing which was also richly diverse in nature."
