We so enjoyed the annual skate show with Allie and Skye.

Here's the backstage face book post before we arrived.

Raf commented that Skye looks just like his sister Ela at that age.

Allie leads this group.

Skye

Allie, center.

Oh yeah!

This real 1935 chrome car is one way to clad a vehicle.

Or for only $390, here is a penny paint job with super glue.

More cars in a long video I didn't watch all the way thru either:

GERMAN INGENUITY ...

Want to see why the Germans have a positive trade balance, in spite of paying workers some of the highest wages in the world?

Mom has been doing well at her home. Here she visited Mary and my home in 1983 or so.

Yes I use that same lamp in my office every day.

INDONESIA

Well, I finally finished my Indonesia trip narrative, sort of. The attached narrative is for the kayaking portion of the trip (19-27Dec2103). The link below is to the Dropbox site that has the pictures and videos. It was a great trip and fun to relive the experience as I typed up the narrative.

I will follow up with the Bali Island portion of the trip (28Dec-1Jan14) later.

Love,
Gerald

Enjoy the pictures and contact Gerry for the narrative.

Alternative energy  Pete's ramblings etc

Forget the 6000 miles of NYC gas mains being replaced 70 miles a year after the building explosions, cooking with Natural Gas (Gnat Gas) seems more dangerous:

No wind turbines allowed in CT for now and down 93% elsewhere

I saw someone at the Agway store looking for wood pellets this week, but the morning shipment was already gone.

Too bad for 140,000 homes in CT who use it.

Solar panels from China not faring much better with huge company losses:

Coal:  If we burn our reserves, we will increase the earth's temperature by 44 degrees Fahrenheit.

Of course I don't believe it since the earth has not gotten warmer during the 17 year lifetime of any high school student.

Isn't it easy to forecast when you are not accountable?  The models are so chicken little compared to the results these past years.

How about media printing black and white for legitimate past facts, and purple for future predictions that may or may not occur.

Forget driving your electric car when it is 20 degrees and your mileage decreases by half or more and your heater? uhh no.

On the positive side, I do like CLF bulbs, nuclear plants above sea level, finished living space below ground level and geothermal like mine installed correctly.

No way to hunt moose or deer, now outlawed in Alaska.

Sophisticated fishing sonar in boats the same thing??
