March 7, 2010
Dan and I just returned from a relaxing week in Cozumel, Mexico. The weather
wasn't toasty warm but we had low 70's with a few rainy days. The wind was
gusty--which we were informed was abnormal. It appears the weather pattern is
abnormal global-wide!
It is a small island, 11 by 32 miles, SE of Cancun. There are 90,000 people on
the island, and only 1/4 of the island is developed. We hired a taxi driver to
take us on a tour of the Mayan ruins, a tequila factory, and many points of
interest. There is great snorkeling on the island and an 18 hole golf course
designed by Jack Nicholas Enterprises. The golf course is nestled in a forest
with crocodiles, wild boars and iguana's commonly making their presence known.
We met a few couples, one from St Joseph, MO and the other from Plymouth, MN.
We had a good time with them.
When we returned we were surprised to find out Lowell's daughter Jodi (and Jon)
had their baby. He was 4 1/2 weeks early, weighing 5 lbs. and is 18 inches
long. Mom and baby are doing well and they named him Elisha William Marquardt.
I attached a picture where he is 3 days old. Liz

Hello,
I was wondering if you could pass a message on to Sue.
I misplaced her email address.
But I shot 300 tonite at bowling.
That’s a perfect game and I wanted to share that with her.
I went 714 for the 3 game total.
I get a ring for it also.
It was a great nite.
Thanx!!!
See you soon!!!
Love,
Julie
Way to roll Julie! See you at Greg and Jen's wedding!!
