Here is how they remove snow from the Prudential complex and Sheraton Hotel / Hynes Convention Center.
Workers with snow blowers load the green canvas bag, and the crane lowers it to a dumpster.

Why not just push the snow over the side of a blocked road and scoop it up without a crane?
