Mom Ursula (and Ted and Sister Kamila with Kyle and daughter Ellie shown) had a nice birthday and new job overseas party for her daughter Margaret.
This was the "Light Finger Food"!
Skye enjoyed the Polish treats before making a snowperson with me later on.
My good friend Mark ran the Math Counts program on Feb 6 for middle schoolers,
sponsored by the National Society of Professional Engineers at a local college.
I enjoyed helping Steve proctor and correct tests in one of the classes.
Alex seated to the left won this first round and the next four to win the Jeopardy styled contest, where you beep in with the answer.
In the final round, his opponent came up to his table (above) near me that time and shook hands and said "May the better man win".
Undaunted by the interruption, Alex answered the next three in a row correctly to win it all, as we in the audience mostly sat there dumbfounded at his speed - and amazed!
Mark, Alex in red stripe, the gal in the Aero shirt who won the written test division and the other award winners and their coaches, making us proud of the future.
